Buying a home is hard enough, but buying one when you live in another area of the country is even harder. Thanks to Zillow and the like websites, you can see the inventory with photos, but it’s not the same as being there to view the home in person. A buyer needs to also see, touch, hear, and smell. We had planned to wait and rent for a while, but we kept looking back at this one home. We called a couple of realtors who were very good at answering questions about the home. But then we called Rick Cox Realty who put us in touch with Matt Barlow. Matt from the very beginning listened to our concerns about the things we couldn’t gather from the photos alone. He visited the home the next day, taking videos of everything from the foundation to the attic and everything in between. It was as if we were there ourselves. He was also our nose. Matt never came off as a sales person, but more of a kind and trusted friend you would invite to your mom or grandmother’s house. He always answered our many calls. When we needed referrals, he put us in touch with his best people. And everyone we worked with did a spectacular job. The house closed within a month. We pushed for an early close to accommodate the timing for our in-person visit before we traveled back home to pack for the move. Everything Matt did was beyond our expectations.
